Nebylo pochyb, \u017ee pobyt venku je prosp\u011b\u0161n\u00fd v\u0161em v\u011bkov\u00fdm kategori\u00edm. Je divn\u00e9, \u017ee t\u00e9to prosp\u011b\u0161nosti \u201ezdarma\u201d\u201a pro n\u00e1s v\u0161echny, vyu\u017e\u00edv\u00e1me tak sporadicky. Ano, vypad\u00e1 to, \u017ee na prob\u011bhnut\u00ed se, proch\u00e1zku \u010di pr\u00e1ci na zahrad\u011b, jakoby nen\u00ed \u010das. Ale to mus\u00edme cht\u00edt ka\u017ed\u00fd s\u00e1m, vydr\u017eet a v\u00fdsledek se dostav\u00ed. Zv\u011bt\u0161en\u00ed objemu plic, zpevn\u011bn\u00ed sval\u016f a kost\u00ed, prokrven\u00ed cel\u00e9ho t\u011bla, lep\u0161\u00ed sp\u00e1nek, zv\u00fd\u0161en\u00ed \u201ebun\u011b\u010dn\u00e9 i slizni\u010dn\u00ed odolnosti\u201d a dal\u0161\u00ed benefity pro na\u0161e zdrav\u00ed, n\u00e1s o\u010dek\u00e1vaj\u00ed i po oby\u010dejn\u00e9 ka\u017edodenn\u00ed t\u0159icetiminutov\u00e9 svi\u017en\u00e9 proch\u00e1zce.<br>Pokud jste \u010detli knihy Betty MacDonaldov\u00e9, tak si ur\u010dit\u011b vzpomenete na jej\u00ed pobyt v plicn\u00ed l\u00e9\u010debn\u011b. M\u011bla TBC. Byla tam skoro rok a na venkovn\u00edm l\u016f\u017eku, ve st\u00e1le de\u0161tiv\u00e9m Seattlu, p\u0159ikryt\u00e1 dekami i v zim\u011b, tr\u00e1vila den co den n\u011bkolik hodin. A musela \u201e\u0159\u00e1dn\u011b\u201d d\u00fdchat. V noci m\u011bli na pokoji otev\u0159en\u00e9 okno, klepali se zimou, ale d\u00fdchali \u201el\u00e9k\u201d, \u010derstv\u00fd vzduch.<br>A to nemluv\u00edm o l\u00e9\u010db\u011b \u0161pan\u011blsk\u00e9 ch\u0159ipky, kdy dobrovolnice za pomoci sester vyv\u00e1\u017eely zlep\u0161uj\u00edc\u00ed se pacienty na vzduch, na blahod\u00e1rn\u00e9 slunce. A co t\u0159eba l\u00e9\u010dba sp\u00e1ly, tak tak\u00e9 p\u0159i t\u00e9to nemoci vyv\u00e1\u017eeli p\u0159ev\u00e1\u017en\u011b d\u011btsk\u00e9 pacienty ven.<br>Zkuste si vzpomenout, jak se d\u0159\u00edve stav\u011bly nemocnice. M\u011bly terasy nebo kryt\u00e9 ochozy, na kter\u00e9 byl vstup p\u0159\u00edmo z pokoj\u016f. V nemocnic\u00edch nebylo p\u0159etopeno, na mnoha odd\u011blen\u00edch byla otev\u0159en\u00e1 okna a pravideln\u011b se v\u011btralo.<br>Tak tomu bylo i v dom\u00e1cnostech. \u017d\u00e1dn\u00e1 syntetick\u00e1 von\u00edtka nenahrad\u00ed venkovn\u00ed vzduch.<br>Vzpome\u0148te si na to, jak jste jako miminka spali venku v ko\u010d\u00e1rku a rodi\u010de nebo prarodi\u010de v\u00e1s sledovali z okna. \u201eJe\u0161t\u011b sp\u00ed, kouk\u00e1, ale nebre\u010d\u00ed\u2026\u201d \u017d\u00e1dn\u00e1 plena nebo deka p\u0159es korbi\u010dku. To m\u016f\u017ee b\u00fdt mim\u010do rovnou doma a d\u00fdchat vyd\u00fdchan\u00fd vzduch. Pokud se bydlelo v panel\u00e1ku, d\u00e1valo se sp\u00edc\u00ed d\u011bcko na balk\u00f3n nebo se otev\u00edralo doko\u0159\u00e1n okno. No a nakonec si t\u0159eba vy nebo va\u0161e rodi\u010de vzpomenou na starou d\u011btskou pan\u00ed doktorku, kter\u00e1 d\u011bti s r\u00fdmou honila ven a teplota do 37,5 \u00b0C pro ni nebyla \u017e\u00e1dn\u00e1 teplota.
